What does Productivity Look Like for Remote Workforce?

Train Your Managers

Wayne Termell, co-founder of the Remote Leadership Institute, says, “People today need to develop leaders in terms of how to actually work.” “Studies show that when we work remotely, there is a tendency to focus on individual work, often at the expense of team goals or collaboration.” Therefore, managers should be able to set clear expectations around normal goals and how to assess the work to ensure that productivity is seen.
Termel says that your leadership development program should address the fact that leaders will manage remote workers. What should be done in that training so that the remote employees feel supported and empowered to do good work.
