How Soft Skills Can Boost Your Resume in 2019
From accounting to mathematics, most people cater to heavy (i.e. technical) skills in their academic and business life. It is no surprise that so many job seekers give such skills to such real estate as they are writing their resumes.
However, for many employers – if not more important, soft skills have become important through rank. Many employers have acquired a popular knowledge: how to use a computer program or analyze the data, but soft skills – such as conflict resolution, compassion and good communication skills – are very difficult to teach. The study took a “big data” approach to analyze thousands of resumes and job ads in 12 different businesses and found that jobseekers’ resumes only match 62 percent of the soft skills listed in job advertisements. One of the most striking insights reported is that Jobseekers are listing a total of at least a few skills on their resume. Individual job ads have an average of 21.8 skills; Again starts the average of only 13 skills.
How can jobseekers influence their soft skills in ways that will make them more attractive candidates during job search?
